DIGITAL FREEDOM STARTS HERE

DigiTOXing FAQ

Clear, practical guidance for reclaiming your time, attention, and real-world connections.

What is DigiTOXing?

DigiTOXing is a practical, 12 step approach to reducing social media dependence and creating a more present, authentic offline life. It supports your time, mental well-being, privacy, relationships, and the daily habits that keep you connected to what matters most.

How do I know if social media is becoming a problem?

Common signs include checking platforms immediately after waking, feeling anxious without access, losing focus to notifications, comparing yourself with curated online lives, scrolling for more than two hours each day, or hearing concerns from family and friends. Start with an honest one week log of your usage and how you feel before and after each session.

What should I do first?

Download DigiTOXing. Follow the steps. One step that you will take is to list every social media account, including dormant profiles and connected apps. Note your time spent, original purpose, genuine value, and any negative effects. Then define your personal reason for changing, whether that is better sleep, stronger focus, closer relationships, or reduced anxiety. All of this can be accomplished in the OFFLINE private app after you download it.

Do I need to quit social media all at once?

Not necessarily. DigiTOXing encourages intentional, sustainable change. Download your data from platforms, remove social media apps, clear saved logins in your browser, unsubscribe from related social media emails, and schedule account cleanups over two or three weeks if that feels more manageable. Build your support system before you disconnect. Download the app and it will help to guide you through a suggested 12 step flow.

What can replace my social media routine?

Replace scrolling with activities that restore your energy: read trusted sources, exercise, journal, meditate, call someone you care about, explore a hobby, learn a skill, volunteer, or plan an in-person activity. The goal is not simply less screen time; it is a more meaningful life. The app features many functions designed to help you determine what to do on your own based on your situation.

What if I experience withdrawal or slip back into old habits?

Challenges such as FOMO, phantom notifications, urges to check devices, mood shifts, and feelings of disconnection are normal. Prepare a withdrawal toolkit as suggested in the app with mindful breathing, exercise, journaling, hobby projects, and trusted people to contact. Progress is not linear; each return to your boundaries is a meaningful step toward digital freedom.
